Trying different things can appear challenging such as being a new student at a school or taking a class for the first time. You have to be patient when introducing new things. The same goes for food. It may take more than a few tries for a child to accept an unfamiliar item. Check out these Resources for picky eaters and Handling a “choosy” eater. School Resumes August 28

pencil cup        The first day of school for Traditional students in Cumberland County will be Monday, August 28. Our school day begins promptly at 8:00, when the first bell rings, and students will be dismissed at 2:30 pm. Parents are reminded to fill out the appropriate bus forms for any K-2 students attending our school. Please make sure you are at the bus stop early as we adjust routes and arrival times at the individual bus stops. The school will be open to students for breakfast and drop off at 7:30 each morning. We look forward to another great year here at TCB! If you need additional information please call the office at 483-8288.

We invite you to our school Open House on Thursday, August 24th from 4:00-6:00. Stop by and meet your new teacher and see where your classroom is this year! Parents looking to get a jump on school supplies can go ahead and shop before school starts. Here is the supply list for each grade level. We can’t wait to start another fantastic year here at TCB.

Congratulations to Ms. Stephanie Dupree for being nominated as our Teacher of the Year! Ms. Dupree is a third grade ELA teacher this school year. She has worked in Cumberland County schools for twenty-three years and has just completed her first year of teaching at TCB.
